Last post of the day I promise but in all the state title excitement I forgot to post the answer to yesterday’s trivia question. The last Eastern Mass team (before tonight) to capture a D1 baseball title was… Norwood.
Today was the big day, as girls lacrosse traveled to BU looking for their first ever state championship, as they took on a familiar foe Walpole. The girls were looking to hand the Rebels their first loss of the year, their third straight state finals loss, and avenge a 13-11 loss earlier in the season. Could they bring home the trophy, let’s find out!

It’s another beautiful Friday and thus time for another beautiful edition of Raider Friday Trivia. Today’s question is…who was the last Eastern Mass team to win a D1 state title in baseball? Answer tomorrow!
We are now less than 60 hours away from Wellesley-Walpole for the girls lax title. Yesterday it was officially announced that the game will start at 6:45 pm Saturday from BU’s Nickerson Field. That being said it is now time to take a look at how the 2018 Wellesley Raider’s got to this point. Enjoy the official Wellesley Preview!

As we count the hours till the D1 State Finals Saturday it’s time to take a look at Wellesley’s opponent and it’s a familiar one, the Rebels of Walpole. The Rebels come in undefeated in their first year in D1 having won the East sectional. The Rebels also were victorious in the two teams lone meeting this year winning 13-11 in Wellesley earlier in the season. Here’s a look at what you need to know about Walpole heading into Saturday’s showdown.

So following tonight’s East/Central-West semifinal the girls lacrosse opponent is known for Saturday’s state final. It’s a familiar foe to, as the Raiders will face off with the Walpole Rebels who beat the Raiders earlier this season. The weekly schedule has been updated to reflect this, although there is no time yet for the game, so stay tuned. Also starting tomorrow I will unveil previews for both teams heading into the big game.
