As we are coming to the end of the spring high school sports season, we are also nearing the end of the spring youth sports season, as tonight we had a good amount of action around town. Here’s a look at what went down!

It was a very exciting Tuesday in Raider sports as girls golf looked to capture the south sectional championship while girls lacrosse opened up their tournament play at home against familiar foe Milton. Would they both come away victorious, let’s find out!

Advances to play Braintree in D1 South quarterfinals
The final team to learn their tournament fate was the baseball team as those brackets were released earlier this morning. The team, who is coming off an 11-9 regular season earned the 13 seed in the D1 South bracket and will travel to 4th seeded Mansfield Thursday for the first round. On this last day of tournament bracket unveilings, it was boys and girls tennis’ turn to learn their tournament fate. Coming off a 16-0 regular season the girls earned the 2 seed in D1 South and will meet the winner of Bishop Feehan and Mansfield in the first round on Saturday. Meanwhile the boys earned the 1 seed in the D1 South bracket and will face the winner of Framingham and Durfee in the first round also on Saturday. Due to Mother Nature’s interference baseball had to wait a day to close out their regular season as they traveled to Medfield this morning. Fresh off a tournament clinching win over Natick the team was looking to end their season on a high note and also improve their seeding. Also on this Saturday girls tennis took on Hopkinton in their final regular season match. Could baseball get the job done and could girls tennis prevail, we’ll find out but first here’s the answer to yesterday’s trivia question. The last time prior to this year that boys volleyball hosted a tournament game was… 2015 as they fell to Barnstable in the first round of the south bracket. Now onto the recap!
