First of all, happy early Memorial Day everyone! Secondly we have come to my favorite time of a season tournament time, where Raider teams will be vying for the coveted state title. As always with tournament time schedules are always changing and this schedule will be updated with any new games that are added! Here’s a look at the week ahead!

Raider Friday Trivia Answer

I forgot to include this in the Raider Recap but here is tonight’s Raider Friday Trivia answer! The last opponent to grace the Larssen Gym floor was… Natick, as both boys and girls basketball hosted the then Red and Blue in a doubleheader on February 16th, 2012, with both teams coming out victorious, the boys 77-60 and the girls with a 62-49 victory!

Today was the final day of the regular season for spring sports and it was huge day for baseball as they faced Medfield with their tournament hopes on the line, also softball held it’s final home game, a makeup vs. Brockton. Would baseball slide their way into the tournament and would softball end its season on a high note, let’s find out!

Boys and Girls Lacrosse Tournament Info

Today we learned the tournament fate for both the boys and girls lacrosse teams as brackets were announced this morning at the MIAA headquarters in Franklin. Girls Lacrosse earned the 4th seed in the D1 South Bracket and will host North Quincy at Sprague Field Tuesday at 3 pm. The boys earned the 13 seed in D1 South and will travel to Xaverian in a rematch of last years tournament opener, with time and date tba. Raider Friday Trivia

Happy Memorial Day Weekend everyone, and with it being Friday and this holiday weekend being upon us, it’s time for another edition of Raider Friday Trivia. On the second to last day of the regular season for most teams there was plenty of action to go around, and also some tournament action as well as boys volleyball took on New Bedford in the first round of the division 1 south bracket. It was a big Wednesday in Raider sports as baseball looked to keep their tournament hopes alive vs. Natick while boys lacrosse looked to improve their tournament seeding with a win over Lexington and girls softball looked to generate some late season momentum on the road at Natick. Boys Volleyball Tournament Info

Today the first of the spring sports tournament brackets were released as boys volleyball learned it’s tournament fate. The boys will travel to New Bedford Thursday at 6 pm in the D1 South bracket. Stay tuned to Wellesley Sports Blitz for other tournament information for the other spring sports as it becomes available later this week and early next week.
