Raider Friday Trivia Answer

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far, and what better time to answer another edition of Raider Friday Trivia. The last time girls lacrosse lost a home tournament game was in 2014 when they fell to Braintree 13-12 in the first round of the D1 South bracket.

Boys Volleyball And Girls Golf Previews

We wrap up our spring sports previews with a look at boys volleyball and girls golf. Boys volleyball had a bit of a tough year last year going 5-11. However I would expect the boys to use that as motivation to have a very successful run here in 2020. Girls golf had a perfect regular season a year ago going 16-0, going on to finish 2nd and 5th respectively at sectionals and states. Look for the girls to continue those winning ways as we enter a new season.

Track Previews

While the status of spring sports is still up in the air, I will continue my week of previews today by taking a look at both track teams. The boys come off a 2019 season that saw them go 3-0-1 and finish 6th at sectionals and 16th at states. The boys are always striving for that top spot and I expect no different this season. The girls had a banner worthy 2019 finishing 4-0 and then finishing 2nd at sectionals and capturing the state title! Look for the girls to be favorites to defend their crown in 2020.

Tomorrow we will wrap up spring previews with boys volleyball and girls golf!

Tennis Previews

Another day, another spring sports preview as today we take a look at the tennis teams. The boys team finished last year 15-7 advancing to the D1 South semifinals, while on the individual side Harry Collomb took home the state singles title. This year I’d look for the boys to once again make a deep run both individually and team wise. The girls meanwhile finished 20-1 last year capturing the South title and also captured individual hardware with Haley Genta and Maria Laso taking home the state doubles title. I would expect the girls to be favorites to defend their team sectional title and then some and also to make a deep run on the individual side.

Tomorrow I will preview both track teams!

Lacrosse Previews

As we continue our 2020 spring sports previews we take a look at both lacrosse teams who are looking to build off successful 2019 seasons. The boys finished last year 11-7 advancing to the D1 South quarterfinals and will look to go even further in 2020 with a solid core returning. The girls meanwhile finished 18-5 overall and advanced to the D1 South semifinals. Look for the girls to be right back up there this year as they look to compete for a second state title in 3 years.

Tomorrow  I will preview both tennis teams!
