In honor of the end of the year 2016, I asked the question yesterday what Raider team last played a game on either December 31st or January 1st? The answer is… Girls Hockey, who played on December 31st of 2013 and were victorious over Canton 5-0. No one got the correct answer so the Dunkin gift card goes unclaimed yet another week but we will try again next week!

It’s the final Raider Friday Trivia of 2016 and there is a Dunkin Donuts gift card on the table so let’s see if we can end the year off with a bang. It’s the last Raider Recap of 2016 and it was a busy day indeed as both basketball teams headed back to the Rockland Christmas tourney’s final day with the girls looking for the title while boys swimming headed to Wayland for a quad meet and girls hockey hosted Plymouth in a rematch of last year’s D2 semifinals. How would it all play out, let’s find out!

On this last Wednesday of 2016 we saw a slew of Raider action as both basketball teams were in the Rockland tournament while it was rivalry night at Babson as boys hockey took on Needham. How did it all turn out, let’s find out!

Hope everyone had a good holiday weekend, and now that Monday has sprung it is time for another edition of Monday Poll. First off the results from last week were that 2 votes were cast, both for girls basketball as the team people thought would have a better regular season this winter season. So yesterday I asked the question of what team the Raider girls basketball team beat last year to win the Rockland Holiday Tournament. The answer is… Rockland, yes the hosts who the Raiders beat 49-39 to win the tournament title a year ago. The Raiders will look to repeat as champs as they travel to that same tournament this coming week. No one guessed the correct answer this week so no prize, but we’ll try again next week.
