Another Raider fall team found out it’s tournament destiny today as girls volleyball learned it earned the 10 seed in the D1 Central-West bracket. The girls will hit the road to face Concord Carlisle Friday Night in the first round, with the winner advancing to face Franklin in the quarterfinals. The weekly schedule has been updated.
There was one event to begin this new week, as boys golf headed to the state championship match, looking to close out the season on a high note. How would they fair, lets find out!

The first of three days of bracket unveils occurred this morning as field hockey found out their tournament fate. The girls were seeded 15th in D1 South and will host Taunton in the preliminary round on Thursday with the winner to face Somerset-Berkley. The weekly schedule has been updated.

We have come to the final days of October and that means it’s time for postseason action. For the majority of Raider teams postseason fates will be known this week, which means that this weekly schedule will be subject to change based on announced times and dates of those games. There are a few events that are already known, which I will post now but check back for further updates. Before the schedule however, here’s a look at the dates for seedings for the various tournaments.

The Red Sox are World Champions!!! That also means that yesterday’s Raider Recap is a little bit delayed, but it is here now. It was a rare Sunday of action as football hosted Barnstable in D2 South playoff action after being rained out Saturday while both cross country teams participated at the Bay State Conference championships. Let’s see how it all turned out!

As we sit through this washout of a day, and get ready for high school playoff football tomorrow, it’s time to answer yesterday’s trivia question. The Raider football team squared off with Natick the weekend following Super Storm Sandy and despite the short week of practice the Raiders scored a 40-34 upset over the then Red And Blue ending their undefeated season hopes.
The 2018 fall regular season officially wrapped up today as both girls soccer and girls swimming looked to end their regular seasons on a high note, with girls soccer needing a win to earn a postseason berth while girls swimming was looking to keep its undefeated season alive. Before we get to those results however a quick scheduling note. Due to the forecasted rain tomorrow football’s D2 South quarterfinal vs. Barnstable has been moved to Sunday at noon.
