Day 2 of 3 of MIAA fall tournament bracket releases and today it was Girls Volleyball learning their postseason fate. The girls drew the number 9 seed in the D1 Central/West bracket and will travel to 8th seeded Shepherd Hill Thursday night with the winner moving on to take on top seeded Groton-Dunstable. On this blustery yet sunny last Monday of October both boys and girls soccer took center stage as they closed out their regular season with non-league tilts against Tewksbury and Westborough respectively. Both teams already had clinched tournament berths but were looking to add one more win to boost their seeding. Could they pull it off, let’s find out!

It’s the last Monday of October, and the day before Halloween! So what better than to do a Halloween themed Monday Poll! Last week’s poll first off saw walking take the top spot as favorite form of exercise with 50% of the vote exactly. This week’s poll question is… which sport’s players/coaches are you most likely to dress up as for Halloween? Baseball, Football, Basketball or other?

As the calendar turns to November and the days are about to start getting a lot shorter, the fun really gets going in fall sports, as the post-season begins this week! There are some regular season contests sprinkled in as well which will make for a potentially very busy week. This week’s schedule is subject to change as the tournament brackets will be announced early in the week so I will update with those dates and times as they become available! On this beautiful Saturday afternoon it is time once again to answer a Raider Friday Trivia question. The other game played at Fenway on Thanksgiving day 2015 was… Boston Latin-Boston English, a game won by Latin 28-6.

It was a beautiful Friday night for some football and swimming as football looked to get back to 500 as they traveled to Plymouth North while girls swim hosted Weymouth. Could both pull out late October wins, let’s find out!

It is another beautiful fall Friday, the last Friday of October to be exact, and that means it’s time for another edition of Raider Friday Trivia. Today’s question is… back in 2015 when Wellesley and Needham met on Thanksgiving Day at Fenway, what other two schools also played that day at Fenway, right after the Wellesley-Needham game? Answer tomorrow!
