It is the last Friday in September and also last day of September and thus time for the last September edition of Raider Friday Trivia! Today’s question is…in what fall sport does the team with the lowest score win the competition? Answer tomorrow!
Wellesley High alum Nate Freiman (05) has certainly had his fair share of exciting moments during his brief mlb career but the current Red Sox prospect may have had his most exciting moment of all this past Sunday as he and his team Israel teammates secured a spot in the World Baseball Classic. Israel defeated Great Britain in the qualifier finals to earn the fibs spot in the classic which takes place this coming March in Seoul, South Korea.
On this somewhat decent Thursday weather wise we had a full slate of Raider action as we bring the final week of September to a close. Who’d come out victorious on this day, let’s find out!

In yesterday’s Raider Friday Trivia I asked when the last time (prior to last night) was Raider football played a home game at a field other than Hunnewell Field and the answer is… last Thanksgiving as the Raiders were the home team against Needham at Fenway Park, a game they lost 12-7.
Tonight was a big night in Raider’s athletics as the Raider football team opened up the home portion of it’s schedule against Natick at Weston High School, which is Wellesley’s makeshift home field for the next couple of weeks due to the delay in the Hunnewell Field turf installation. Anyway, the Raiders were looking to go to 3-0 against a Redhawk team who came in 2-0 as well. Could the Raiders ground the Hawks, let’s find out!
Result for 9-23-16
Football: Wellesley 21 Natick 0
