With this early April snow wreaking havoc on the schedule today, one Raider team was able to open up their season today as boys volleyball hosted Brookline. Would the Raiders start their season on a high note, let’s find out!

Some exciting news to report from today as Wellesley resident Michael Thorbjornsen captured the 14-15 year old division title of the National Drive Put and Chip championship in Augusta, Georgia. Congratulations to Michael on this tremendous accomplishment!

The first full week of game action in the spring season is upon us yet if you looked outside it would feel as such. Due to the weather forecast there is sure to be changes in this weeks schedule so stay tuned to the site and this post for updates. For now here’s this weeks schedule.

The Boston Globe released it’s All Scholastic’s for the winter season and multiple Raiders made the list. A big Wellesley Sports Blitz congratulations goes out to the following Raiders!

For today’s April 1st edition of Raider Friday Trivia I asked, what year did boys volleyball become an official varsity sport at WHS? The answer is… 2010, as the Raiders led at the time by coach Wayne Lem took on Newton North in the programs first ever match at the varsity level!
