As I mentioned yesterday today begins the final week of the spring sports regular season and several teams are still vying for a postseason berth so every game matters as we entered a very busy Monday in Raider sports. Which Raider teams came out on top today, let’s find out!

As we close out what has actually turned out to be a pretty nice Sunday of Wellesley Weekend, we look ahead to the week ahead in Raider sports action. As we enter the week before Memorial Day weekend it also marks the homestretch of the spring sports season and while some teams have already punched their playoff tickets, others are still vying for the postseason which means every game will matter. Today was certainly an interesting day in Raider’s athletics as softball hosted Needham in a makeup game this morning, while boys lacrosse traveled to Westwood to take on Bridgewater Raynham as part of the Bruce Lerch Memorial Day of Lacrosse. Would both teams come out on top, let’s find out!

It was the diamond getting all the action today as both Raider baseball and softball hit the road to take on Needham and Brockton respectively. With this weekend being the annual Wellesley Weekend, it is also time for another Wellesley tradition and that is Little League All Star Saturday for both baseball and softball. This year will come with an added bonus as Scott’s Major League Pitch Hit and Run competition will be taking place Saturday afternoon at the Hunnewell Varsity Baseball Diamond with signups at Reidy! Here’s a look at the full schedule for the day!
