Before I reveal today’s trivia answer, I wanted to take a moment to congratulate all the members of the Wellesley High class of 2016 who graduated today both athletes and non-athletes. Hope you enjoyed today and best of luck in your future endeavours. Now for today’s trivia answer the answer is.. the Boston Red Sox, that’s right if you read an earlier post Nate Freiman signed with the Boston Red Sox a couple of weeks ago and is currently playing for their Double A affiliate the Portland Seadogs!

Well it may be a tad bit gloomy on this Friday morning but it is Friday none the less, and also graduation day over at Wellesley High School. Friday also means it is time for another edition of Raider Friday Trivia! Today’s question is… what MLB organization does Wellesley High alum Nate Freiman currently play for? Answer later tonight!

It was certainly the busiest day of the tournament season so far your Raider spring  sports teams as 3 teams were in action, with boys tennis hosting Newton North and baseball and boys lacrosse traveling to Bridgewater Raynham and Xaverian respectively. Could the Raiders make it a clean sweep, let’s find out!

Happy June everyone! With their being no tournament games today and with there having been no little league games this past weekend due to the long weekend, I figured today would be a perfect day to do a little league recap so without any further ado here are today’s scores!

On this last day of May we had some very exciting tournament action as girls lacrosse opened up their tournament play against North Quincy at Sprague Field while Girls Golf competed in the sectional tournament this morning in Gardner. How would both fare, let’s find out!

Along with baseball we also found out the tournament fate of both the Raider boys and girls tennis teams who both earned high seeds in their brackets. The boys team earned the 5th seed in D1 South and will host Newton North in the first round on Thursday at 4 pm. The girls earned the top seed in their D1 South bracket and will host the winner of Walpole/Brookline on a date and time to be announced!
