- UMass Dartmouth was the sight of Wellesley football’s last super bowl title as they defeated Marshfield back in 1999.
- Boys Lacrosse’s first tournament opponent at Sprague Field was Hopkinton in the first round of the D2 East tournament back in 2009. The Raiders won the game in overtime.
- Wellesley and Needham met for the D1 South title in boys hockey back in 2008. Needham won the game 3-0 and would go on to win the D1 State title.
- Rebecca DiBiase (09) was the Raider softball standout that went on to win a national title with Tufts University in the spring of 2013.
- Prior to their state final four run in 2011 a Wellesley little league team had not made it that far since 2002. In fact between 2002 and 2011 no Wellesley team even made it out of the district tournament.
