Wellesley High Student/Athlete Drew Gallerani passed on a link to a GoFundMe page for Wellesley High teacher and coach Mark Yanchewski. Coach Chew as he is referred to by his players and students has been battling medical issues and is looking for help in renovating his home to make it more handicapped accessible. Schedule For Week Of 11-14

So this week’s schedule will be in a bit of a different format this week, as with the fall season pretty much over and there being no games most the days during the week, I’m just going to post the days that there are games. I’m also including JV and Freshmen football games being held this week including their annual pre Thanksgiving meeting at Needham on Saturday. Let’s take a look at what’s on tap!

Raider Recap 11-12-16 (Plus Trivia Answer)

Today was actually a decent showing in terms of Raider action as Cross Country traveled to the D2 Eastern Mass meet and Girls Swimming headed into BU for the sectional meet. First things first here’s the answer to yesterday’s Raider Friday Trivia question. The Raider football team has posted 3 shutouts this season, coming against Framingham, Natick, and Norwood! Now onto the recap!

Raider Recap 11-11-16

On this Veterans Day afternoon there was one contest on the docket as the Raider football team headed to Brockton for their final contest prior to the Thanksgiving game. The Raiders were looking to bounce back from a tough playoff loss last week against Bridgewater-Raynham and head into their annual clash with Needham on a high note! Would they be successful, let’s find out!

Raider Friday Trivia (Plus Yesterday’s Answer)

It’s a beautiful Friday morning, and Veterans Day to boot, so first want to take a second to thank all the brave men and women who have put their lives on the line so that we can live in the greatest country in the world! That being said Friday is also a day for another installment of Raider Friday Trivia! First however, it’s time to answer yesterday’s Raider Trivia special edition question. The number of sports Wellesley and Bridgewater-Raynham have played in since 2014 is… 6 meeting in Boys Hockey, Boys and Girls Basketball, Boys Lacrosse, Baseball, and most recently Football. Now for today’s Raider Friday Trivia question. The question is… how many shutout victories did the Raider football team post this season? The answer will be posted tomorrow!

Fall Sports Wrapups

With the majority of the fall teams having completed their seasons, it’s now time to look back at the 2016 fall campaign for your Raider teams. Next week we will each day take a look back at the fall sports teams seasons, as well as preview the 129th Thanksgiving game to take place Thanksgiving morning in Needham. For the rest of this week we will have some special Raider trivia questions pertaining to all things fall sports!
