This week’s poll is spring sports based, as I want to know which Wellesley High spring sports team will have the best season record wise? Baseball, Softball, Boys Lacrosse, or other? Get your votes in!

Spring Sports Previews

Beginning this week we will look ahead to the start of the spring sports season, which begins tomorrow with the start of practices. Beginning tomorrow we will roll out schedules for the each of the spring sports teams, followed by team previews next week so be on the lookout!

Wrestling Season In Review (Plus Trivia Answer)

So in the midst of my crazy life I completely forgot to post the Wrestling season in review yesterday so apologies to all the wrestling followers of this blog. However there is no time like the present, as we close out our look back at the 2016-17 winter sports season. First off however it’s time for the answer to yesterday’s Raider Friday Trivia. The year that Wellesley Youth basketball went solely to Wellesley teams was the 2013-14 as prior to that Wellesley had played for a long time against Framingham among others. Now for the wrestling review, wrestling finished the regular season 5-6-1 and sent Josh Cohen on to the all state meet.

Babson Captures Title

The Babson Beaver men’s hoops team are on top of the Division 3 college basketball world! The Beavers completed their historic season with a 79-78 victory over Augustana to capture the school’s first ever national championship! Congratulations to the Beavers players, and coaches on this amazing accomplishment!

Babson Hoops Advances To Title Game

As I told you last week the Babson mens basketball team was the cusp of their second Final Four in three seasons and after a victory over Keene State the Beavers earned that national semifinal berth which was this evening against top ranked and undefeated Whitman. After falling behind by as many as 25 the Beavers managed to climb all the way back to knock off Whitman 85-79 and earn a berth in the national championship game. The game will be tomorrow night at 6 pm at the Salem Civic Center in Salem, Virginia against the winner of the second semifinal between Williams and Augustana and can be seen live on the CBS Sports Network!
