It was another nice day for some spring sports action as we continue the final week of the regular season. It was a big day especially for the baseball team who with a win today would clinch yet another berth in the state tournament. Would they pull it out and how did the other action play out, let’s find out!

While there was little high school action today, there certainly was a ton of little league action to go around tonight as the American League took center stage as always on Tuesday and Thursday night’s. Let’s take a look at how it went down!

It was a very light day of action in Raider sports but there was one noteworthy item for today’s recap as the unified track team competed in the sectional championships at Franklin HS and came away victorious in the 4×100. Congratulations to the team on this tremendous accomplishment!

The first MIAA tournament pairings were released today for… Boys Volleyball. Your Wellesley Raiders having finishing the regular season 14-3 earned the 4 seed in the D1 South bracket and will open at home next Thursday (6-1)  against Taunton at 6:30 pm. Today was certainly one of those Monday’s weather wise where the old saying “someone’s got a case of the Monday’s” comes to mind, but that didn’t deter a full slate of Raider action as we enter the final week of the regular season. Before we get to the recap however, I want to send a special shoutout to the girls golf team, who had quite the day today capturing the Mass Bay League regular season and all star match titles, and send a congratulations to the teams 4 all stars and coach Ken Bateman who was named coach of the year! It’s a wet gloomy Monday as the start the week before Memorial Day but I’m about to brighten your spirits with another edition of Monday Poll.
