As we continue with our spring season end reviews today we take a look back at the boys and girls lacrosse teams who both earned tournament berths in 2017. The boys finished their regular season with a 13-5 mark and earned the 6th seed in the D1 South bracket. After defeating Mansfield in the first round 10-9 the boys saw their season come to an end at the hands of Duxbury 10-4 in the quarterfinals. Despite losing some key pieces to graduation, the boys will still have some key pieces returning as they look to make an even deeper run next spring and you can never count out a Rocky Batty coached team.
Meanwhile on the girls side the team enjoyed a 13-5 regular season of their own, good for the 5th seed in D1 South. The girls pulled off victories over Milton, and Braintree in the first round an quarterfinals respectively before seeing their season come to an end over arch-rival and eventual state champion Needham 14-7 in the sectional semifinals. The girls will also be replacing some key parts in 2018 but will still look to make another run at a Bay State title as well as another deep run in the tournament.
Stay tuned tomorrow as we will review the boys and girls tennis seasons!
