Well despite a second snow day for the kids of Wellesley today that did not deter athletic events from going forward to end this first week of the new year as both basketball teams and gymnastics proceeded with their scheduled contests. How would they fare, lets find out!

As we dig out from yesterday’s snow storm, why not think some warmer thoughts with the first 2018 edition of Raider Friday Trivia! Today’s question is… who was the last Raider basketball player to reach 1000 career points? Answer tomorrow!

Well the foot plus of snow today has certainly put a damper on things athletically as all contests scheduled for today were postponed with schools being closed, and tomorrow’s contests up in the air. If/when decisions are made on tomorrow’s events I will update the schedule accordingly.

Despite the impending snow storm, that didn’t stop a very exciting night of action on this first Wednesday of the new year. Both hockey teams were in action in a doubleheader while boys basketball hosted Weymouth. Could all 3 get 2018 off to a smooth start, let’s find out!

It was the first day back to school for the kiddos of Wellesley today and it was also the first athletic event of the new year as wrestling traveled just down the road to take on Framingham. Could the team get 2018 off on a winning note, lets find out!
