There was only one game on the docket this President’s Day but it was an important one as girls basketball took on host Westwood in the championship game of the Riley Tournament. The girls were looking to close out their season with a 3rd straight win and keep the positive momentum going into postseason play. Could they tame the Wolverines, lets find out!

Happy President’s Day everyone. As we celebrate our past commander’s in chief, its also another great time for Monday Poll. Last week’s poll saw what I believe is the first three way tie in poll history as Other, Skiing, and Hockey all tied with 2 votes apiece for people’s favorite sports to watch during the Winter Olympics. This week’s question has to do with some news that just broke in the Boston sports world involving the Red Sox. Do you think them signing JD Martinez is a good move?

It was another rare Sunday of action as girls basketball headed to Westwood for day 1 of the Riley Classic against King Philip, while boys swimming headed to BU for the state championship meet. How would it all turn out, lets find out!

It’s February Vacation week and the last week of the regular season for both basketball teams and boys hockey who are looking to sew up high tournament seeds. With it being a light week of games I will be filling space with information about said tournament seedings, so keep an eye out. That being said here’s a look at this week’s schedule!

Raider Recap 2-17-18 (Plus Trivia Answer)

It was certainly a busy Saturday in Raider nation as not only were both hockey teams in action but wrestling headed to Milton for the state championships, and indoor track headed into Boston for the state championships. We’ll find out how it all turned out but first it’s time to answer yesterday’s trivia question. The Wellesley High alum who was part of Northeastern’s Beanpot winning squad was… John Picking (13) who helped the Huskies to a 5-2 win over BU Monday night to capture their first title in 30 years. Now onto the recap!

Raider Recap 2-16-18

With the Bay State Conference portion of their schedule finished for 2017-18 the Raider boys basketball team looked to close out the regular season strong in the first of two season ending non-league home games against Carver. The Raiders had good success against the Crusaders in the season opener beating them 90-42. Could they make lightning strike twice, lets find out!

It was a huge Valentine’s night of hockey for both the Raider boys and girls as they squared off with neighboring rival Natick. With wins both teams would secure the always coveted Herget Division title and give themselves a nice boost in tournament seeding. Could both make it a clean sweep of the Redhawks, lets find out!
