Freiman Announces Retirement

Wellesley native Nate Freiman (05) made the announcement today on Facebook that he is stepping aside from the game of baseball and returning to Duke University to pursuit his MBA beginning in the fall. After graduating from Duke in 2009 Freiman went on to be part of 6 MLB organizations during his career including stints on the major league roster for the Oakland Athletics in both 2013 and 2014. Freiman most recently played in the Mexican Baseball league for both Acereros de Monclova and Pericos de Puebla in 2017 before being release prior to the start of the 2018 season. Wellesley Sports Blitz would like to wish Nate the best of luck as he begins this new chapter.
