After a one year stint on the BU coaching staff, former Wellesley High boys lacrosse coach Rocky Batty is returning to town, but not where you may think. Batty will be taking over as head coach of Babson College’s mens lacrosse team, replacing Brendan Gorman. Batty takes over a Beavers squad who went 9-7 a year ago, before falling to Springfield in the Newmac Semifinals.

It was certainly a busy busy night of little league action as both Williamsport teams wrapped up district pool play action, with North trying to secure the top seed in Thursday’s semifinals. In other action Lou Tompkins C traveled to Newton and the 12B softball team squared off with Waltham. How would it all turn out, lets find out!

It was another beautiful day for some Williamsport action as both North and South were in action in their second to last games of pool play. North was trying to stay undefeated while South was trying to bounce back from a tough loss yesterday. Could they both take home wins, lets find out!

It was an absolutely beautiful day for baseball as both Williamsport teams continued in district pool play, both looking to build off victories in their district openers. Before we get to those results however, it’s time to answer yesterday’s trivia question. The boys and girls basketball teams have played a total of 6 tournament games in Brockton since 2007, with the boys playing at Brockton High in 2013, and the girls playing at Brockton High in 2008, and Massasoit Community College in 2010, 13, 16, and 17. The wet weather that rolled through earlier today did wreak havoc on part of today’s schedule as both Williamsport games were postponed till tomorrow. Both Wellesley South and North will now play at Praught Field in West Roxbury at 11 am and 1 pm respectively. The weekly schedule has been updated to reflect this. There is one result to report on from tonight as the U10 National squad hosted Norwood this evening over at Kelly 1. Could they pull out a win, lets find out!
