Raider Recap 12-22-18 (Plus Trivia Answer)

It was a rivalry renewed on the ice tonight as boys hockey met up with Needham looking to extend their winning streak over the Rockets. It was almost exactly 7 years to the day that Needham last beat the Raiders in boys hockey, could Wellesley extend the streak, we’ll find out momentarily but first to answer yesterday’s trivia question. The 2004 World Series trophy was displayed at the Wellesley Recreation Center where fans (including this blogger) were able to  get their picture taken with the new hardware. Now onto the recap!

Raider Recap 12-15-18 (Plus Trivia Answer)

Much as is the case on Saturday nights in winter it was hockey dominating the action tonight as both the boys and girls squared off with Weymouth. The boys were opening up their season while the girls were looking to bounce back from a season opening loss to Arlington. Could they both get in the win column, we’ll find out but first here’s the answer to yesterday’s trivia question. The coach of the last back to back state finalist for girls hockey was… George Campbell who guided the Raiders to 3 straight finals appearances in 2014, 15, and 16. Now onto the recap!
