Today we begin a week of 2019 spring sports previews, beginning with the baseball and softball programs. Baseball enjoyed another very successful season in 2018 advancing to the sectional final for the second straight year before falling to eventual state champion Needham. This year’s installment will have a lot of familiar faces back, including Virginia Tech commit Henry Weycker. Look for the boys to be right back in the running for a conference, sectional, and state crown.
Softball was finally able to earn a state tournament berth for the first time in a decade before falling to Plymouth North. Much like their baseball counterparts softball will return a lot of familiar faces as they look to earn another trip to the big dance and advance even further here in 2019. Tomorrow we will take a look at both lacrosse teams.
