Gymnastics Preview

On this final day of our 2019/20 winter sports preview we take a look at the gymnastics team. The team finished last year 5-2 and has higher aspirations for this season. With the high level they have competed at over the years I expect this year to be another successful season.

Wrestling And Boys Swimming Previews

It’s the second to last day of our winter sports previews as today we take a look at wrestling and boys swimming. Wrestling finished last year 1-11 but did put up strong showings in the postseason including the first girls state title in school history by Sophie Laing. Look for the team to make even bigger strides this season. Boys swimming finished last year at 5-5 and finished 17th at states. The boys always are in the picture for a league title and I see no reason why this year will be any different. Tomorrow we finish up with gymnastics!

Indoor Track Previews

As we’ve reached the middle of the week it’s time to unveil another winter sports preview as today we look at both indoor track teams. The boys team finished last year 4-1 and as state runners up. Given their recent history of success the boys should definitely be a top contender this season for a state title. The girls meanwhile finished a perfect 5-0, and captured the state crown a year ago and there is no reason to believe they won’t be favorites to repeat their title. Tomorrow I will preview wrestling and boys swimming!

Hockey Previews

We continue our 2019/20 winter sports previews today with a look at both hockey programs. The boys finished last year 12-8-2 and advanced to the D1 South quarterfinals. With a solid core returning this year look for the boys to compete for even higher aspirations in terms of both league and sectional play. The girls had a banner worthy season once again last year finishing 17-4-3 and capturing their second straight state title. With an overwhelming majority of their core returning the girls should be considered an overwhelming favorite for a third straight D2 crown. Tomorrow we will preview indoor track!
