The official time for the girls hockey state title game was released by the MIAA this morning. The girls will take on Canton at 545 at TD Garden looking for their 3rd straight state title. The weekly schedule has been updated!

As we continue our winter sports season reviews we take a look at the indoor track teams. The boys finished their season at 4-1, and then went on an impressive run, finishing 2nd at the BSC meet, 1st at the D2 meet, and 2nd at the All State meet. Look for the boys to continue this streak of success into next season. The girls finished up 3-2 on the year and then finished 3rd at BSC, 2nd in D2, and 7th at the states. Like the boys the girls will certainly be favorites to continue their success come the 2020-21 season.

As we wind down the winter sports season it’s time for our 2019-20 winter sports reviews. We begin today with both the boys and girls basketball teams. The boys fought tooth and nail this season but unfortunately came up one game short of the tournament finishing 7-9. With the motivation of missing out on the tournament this year and key pieces returning next season, I would look for the Raiders to be back in tournament contention in 2020-21. The girls meanwhile did go through some growing pains this season, finishing 5-15 overall, but certainly showed heart and determination all season long. With a solid core returning I would look for the girls to get back to their winning ways next season.

There will be one final winter sports weekly schedule as with girls hockey’s win tonight, they will advance to their third straight state title game. That game’s information is posted below, and will be updated once a time is announced. Some programming notes for this coming week. Starting tomorrow I will post our 2019-20 winter sports season reviews each day, and on Thursday and Friday I will preview both teams for Sunday’s girls hockey final, so stay tuned for all!

Speaking of girls hockey it’s time to answer yesterday’s trivia question! The last time girls hockey met Falmouth in the postseason was in 2015 when Falmouth beat the Raiders in the state finals.

It’s official, girls hockey will face Falmouth tomorrow with a trip to the Garden on the line! Tomorrow’s game will be at 5 at Warrior Ice Arena, between two teams who know each other well over the last decade. Here’s a look at how they both got here!
