Wellesley To Play For District 10 Glory

As alluded to in this blog in the past couple of weeks in the absence of the Little League World Series this summer Wellesley’s district, District 10 has kept the baseball alive with their own Championship Series. The tournament consisted of 4 teams in a round robin followed by the top 2 meeting in the championship game. Wellesley’s team, coached by Greg Ciongoli finished the round robin 2-0 with victories over Waltham and Newton Southeast and will play Newton tomorrow for the title. The game will begin at 6 pm and will be played at Lyons Field in Newton. I will have the results tomorrow night here on the blog!
