Happy Patriots Day everyone, and hope everyone especially my Massachusetts followers are enjoying this tremendous day for the annual Boston Marathon. Speaking of the marathon that is the topic of this week’s Monday Poll. Last week’s poll was a runaway with Fenway Park taking home the top spot for favorite Boston sports venue with 9 of the 11 votes. This week’s question is… where in Wellesley is your favorite place to watch the marathon, Wellesley Center, Wellesley Hills, or other? Also speaking of the marathon I had a chance this morning to make my way down to Wellesley Center for some of the early action, and took a couple of pictures to capture the day.

It’s April vacation week for the Wellesley public schools but there is still no shortage of game action this coming week, as both lacrosse teams will participate in in season tournaments while baseball will take on some non-league competition as well. Here’s a look at the week ahead!

It’s a rare Saturday spring sports edition of the Raider Recap as this afternoon the baseball team hit the road to take on Weymouth. Before we get to that however it’s time to answer yesterday’s Raider Friday Trivia question. The Wellesley College “Scream Tunnel” is located at mile 12 of the Boston Marathon although you can certainly hear that for longer than that. Anyway onto today’s recap!

With Patriots Day and the marathon approaching on Monday, this week’s trivia question will be marathon related.
