Boys hockey faced a tall task on this Saturday night as they looked to keep their season alive facing off against top seeded Duxbury in the D1 South quarterfinals. Before we get to that result however it’s time to answer yesterday’s trivia question. Prior to tonight the last time Wellesley and Duxbury met in a boys hockey tournament game was in 2011, a game won by the Dragons 4-3 in a shootout. Now onto the recap!

It’s March everybody! What better way to kick off the new month than with another edition of Raider Friday Trivia! Today’s question is… when was the last time (prior to tomorrow) that Wellesley and Duxbury met in the boys hockey tournament? Answer tomorrow!

On this last day of February it was boys basketball looking to keep their season alive as they hosted Newton North in the D1 South quarterfinals. Having lost both regular season meetings to the Tigers the Raiders were looking to make the third time the charm on the biggest stage. Could they pull it off, lets find out!

It was boys hockey’s turn to open up the postseason tonight as they boys headed to Canton to take on a familiar foe Walpole in the first round. In other action the alpine ski team participated in the state championship meet. How would it all turn out, lets find out!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, postseason play, and it began tonight for girls basketball as the 2nd seeded Raiders hosted a familiar foe Walpole in the first round of the D1 South bracket. Having already beaten Walpole once this year could the Raiders make it 2 for 2 in the most important game, lets find out!

It’s the Monday after February vacation week, and what better way to kick off the week than with another edition of Monday Poll. Today’s question is…Which Wellesley team will make a deeper run in the upcoming tournament, boys basketball, girls basketball, boys hockey, or girls hockey? Comment with your answers!

School is back in session this week and postseason play also kicks off for 4 Raider teams, as both basketball’s and both hockey’s begin the chase for a state title. As is always the case with tournament schedules the schedule is subject to change based on results. Also the dates and times for hockey have not yet been finalized so I will update when those are announced. Lastly being that it is a fluid schedule, I am only posting the days with games to start. All that being said here’s the schedule!

There was some action in Raider sports today and it was important as both indoor track teams competed at the all-state meet while in wrestling Sophie Laing competed for the girls all state title. We’ll find out how it all went in a moment but first here’s the answer to yesterday’s trivia question! The last time Wellesley and Walpole in a girls basketball tournament game was in 2009 when Walpole upset Wellesley 64-60 in overtime in the D2 South quarterfinals. Now onto the recap!
