Happy Super Bowl week everyone! As we gear up for the big game this coming Sunday how about another Super Bowl themed Monday Poll. Last week’s poll where I asked who would win, saw the Pats with a decisive 18-8 margin in votes. This week’s question is, which non-football aspect of the Super Bowl do you enjoy most, the half time show or the commercials? Comment with your answers!

As we enter the final days of January, some Raider teams have already locked up postseason berths and now turn their attention to seeding and conference standing. For other teams however postseason spots are still up for grabs and each game is that much more important. Lets see what this week has in store!

It was another rivalry night for both boys and girls hockey on this Saturday as they took neighboring rival Natick in games that both had big conference implications. Wrestling also was in action this morning as they got the day started at the Concord Carlisle quad match. How would it all turn out, we’ll find out but first it’s time to answer yesterdays trivia question. The last Raider boys basketball player to achieve 1000 points was… John Costello who did so in 2001. Now onto the recap!

Last night both hoop teams squared off with rival Needham while boys swimming took on Brookline while tonight it was hockey’s turn to take on Needham, along with wrestling and gymnastics both against Brookline. It was another Monday afternoon of Raider hockey this time on the boys side as the boys hosted Oliver Ames, looking to keep their unbeaten season alive and punch their ticket to the state tournament. They would be facing a tough Tiger squad though that beat the Raiders at Babson by a goal a year ago. Could the Raiders keep their good times rolling and earn that tournament berth, lets find out!

Boys Hockey: Oliver Ames 3 Wellesley 2

Boy what a great day it is to be a New England sports fan, as the Pats are back in the Super Bowl! Now it’s time for another super edition of Monday Poll. Last week I asked who would win the AFC title game and you all voted overwhelmingly (25-9) for the Pats so congratulations! This week why not stick with it even though it’s still a little under 2 weeks out and ask who will win Super Bowl 52? Patriots or Eagles? Comment with your answers!

As we enter the last full week of January multiple teams are right on the verge of clinching post-season berths and will look to do so against some very tough competition. It’s also a big rivalry week for basketball and hockey who face off against Needham. Lets see what the full week has in store!
