So tonight it hoops, hoops, and more hoops as both Raider basketball teams took on Milton with the girls looking to remain undefeated on the season and the boys looking to rebound from a tough loss to Norwood Tuesday. Would both be successful, we will find out but first the answer to today’s trivia question. The boys basketball team defeated St Johns Prep in their appearance at TD Garden back in 2014 in the Good Sports Invitational, the same invitational the girls team will be participating in later this season. Here we are, another Friday and that means it’s time for another edition of Raider Friday Trivia! Today’s question is… later this month Coach Glen Magpiong will lead his girls basketball team into TD Garden to take on Needham, this will be the second time he has coached on the garden floor as back in 2014 he lead his boys team onto the parquet, what team did they play against that day? One game on this first day back from winter vacation for the Raiders as boys hockey hosted Bishop Fenwick. The boys finished their 2015 portion of their schedule at 3-1 and were looking to bounce back from a tough 2-1 loss against Walpole. Would they be successful, let’s find out!

Dodgeball returns to WMS on Fridays, from 2:30-3:15pm in Gym B. No fees are required – girls and boys from all grades are encouraged to join a great end of the week CO-ED activity and stress release! Mixed with tunes & open gym breaks kids relax & have a blast throwing, catching and dodging balls. Cushioned foam balls are used for safety. The program is directed by Community Investors, a non- profit organization dedicated to offering innovative after school activities that support youth development and socialization. Exciting news for one Wellesley teen golfer as Michael Thorbjorsen, and 8th grader at Wellesley Middle School captured Canadian Junior Golf Association’s World Junior Challenge this past week for the boys 14 and under range.
