So there were no actual games today but I do have a programming note on the boys soccer sectional final game. The game will be played Saturday at 4 pm at Marshfield High School against Brockton. Good luck to the boys and hope they bring home a sectional title!

The boys advance to the sectional finals where they will take Brockton on Saturday, time and location TBA.

The girls move on to the Central/West final Saturday at 3 vs Concord Carlisle at Algonquin Regional High School.

It was a big day for the Wellesley Boys Soccer team as they played host to Xaverian in the D1 South Sectional Quarterfinals. With a date with rival Needham on the line would the Raiders pull out a victory, let’s find out.

Well on this beautiful Sunday it was the Raider field hockey team looking to pull a tournament upset over top seeded Mansfield. Would the 8th seeded Raiders be successful, let’s find out.

So we had some more exciting tournament action today with field hockey hosting Hingham and then a consolation football game at the Raiders traveled to King Philip. Before that however it’s time for today’s trivia answer. The correct answer is 2004 for the last time girls soccer won a state title as the girls that year captured the D2 crown with a win over Belchertown in the state final.
