Everyone who has followed Wellesley High football over the past few years knows what a prolific quarterback John Fadule (14) was in his one season under center for the Raiders back in fall 2013. Breaking records left and right Fadule helped guide the team to their first playoff berth since 1999, a 7-4 overall record and their only win over archrival Needham over the past 5 years. Now it appears Fadule may be able to showcase his talents on the next level this coming weekend. Fadule, who is a walk on at Boston College has been thrown into a battle for playing/starting time this coming Saturday at home vs. Virginia Tech with none other than former Natick qb Troy Flutie. This is thanks to injuries to two of BC’s other quarterbacks Darius Wade who started the season as starter and Jeff Smith who until getting injured in last weekend’s loss to Louisville was splitting time with Flutie. Will Fadule see the field Saturday remains to be seen but one thing is for sure if his skills in the high school ranks translate to the college ranks, Virginia Tech could be in for quite a surprise.
