As we opened up the second week of spring sports regular season play girls softball finally was able to open their season as they took on Weymouth while boys volleyball looked to finally notch their first win of the year as they took archrival and always tough Needham, and lastly girls golf looked to keep their early season successes going in a tri-match against Cohasset and Braintree. The Boston Globe today released their annual All-Scholastic lists for the 2017-18 winter season. Several Raiders players and coaches made it to the list, and we would like to recognize them for this tremendous achievement. In terms of the list below, “POY” indicates that the player earned player of the year honors and “COY” indicates coach of the year honors.

It was a cold and blustery Saturday morning but that didn’t stop girls lacrosse from hosting Norwell in a non-league affair as the girls looked to remain undefeated on the young season. Before we get to that result however, here is the answer to yesterday’s trivia question. The first spring sports game played at the new stadium was.. girls lacrosse appropriately enough. The girls kicked the first full season on the new turf as they fell to Walpole exactly a year ago 9-7. Now onto the recap!
