Wellesley Youth Football and Terriers Sports have announced a flag football jamboree that they will be hosting Sunday June 10th at Hunnewell Field. The event will include an appearance by Patrick Chung of your New England Patriots. Here’s a copy of the press release for the event.
Wellesley Youth Football and Terriers Sports are teaming up to offer a Flag Football Jamboree on Sunday, June 10th, at Hunnewell Field. The Jamboree will be free of charge, and offered to girls and boys in grades K-1 & 2-3 from 6-7pm & grades 4-5 & 6-8 from 7:30-8:30pm. The Jamboree will celebrate Wellesley Youth Football & Terriers launching a new K-1 NFL Flag Football League together next fall. “We look forward to offering kids a great night of Flag Football at the Jamboree, and a great program to enjoy next fall” said Matt Comella, Wellesley Youth Football Vice President. “Terriers has done a great job with its Grade 2-8 Flag program and we look forward to teaming up”. Wellesley High School Varsity Football Coach Jess Davis, along with Wellesley High School football players will help provide instruction & coaching at the Jamboree. New England Patriots safety Patrick Chung will greet participants between 7-8pm, and Dr. Timothy Foster, an Orthopedic Sports Medicine Physician, will discuss Football Safety with parents between 6-8pm.
