It was win or go home for Williamsport North today as they squared off with Brookline for the District 10 title. The winner would punch a ticket to the Section 3 tournament next week in Sharon. Could North take home the flag, lets find out!

It was a big day for Williamsport action as both North and South squared off with Newton and Brookline respectively in the District 10 semifinals. We’ll find out momentarily if both punched their ticket to the district final but first time to answer yesterday’s trivia question. The last time before today both North and South made the district semifinals was… 2015 when North lost to Newton Southeast and South beat Newton National before falling to Southeast in the district final. It was the final night of district pool play for both Williamsport teams, as South had already locked up a spot in the semifinals but was looking to finish pool play undefeated, while north needed to defeat Brookline in order to advance to the semifinals.  In other action U10 Black traveled to Dedham and U10 Red took on Norwood at Reidy. Could they all get w’s, lets find out!

It was announced today that what was originally going to be the Wellesley Sports Center will now be named the Boston Sports Institute. The change comes after the naming rights were sold to Steward Health Care which will operate out of the facility. Currently the new facility is expected to open in August.
