Results for 11-5-19

Girls Soccer: Wellesley 1 Newton South 0 D1 South First Round

Girls advance to face Needham in quarterfinals!

Cheerleading: Finished 10th in Bay State Competition (See recap from Coach Sanchez below)

“Girls did awesome. We had a strong routine despite struggling with injuries and keeping up with cheering on our football team in the playoffs. We have a mostly young team with only 3 seniors but they all performed like seasoned vets. Out of 10 teams in our BayStates, unfortunately we fell with 2 others that failed to qualify for regionals. It was an elite group this year to compete with and our counterparts have been attending invitationals for the last month or so. I’m fortunate to have a solid group of freshman who are enthusiastic about building our cheer foundation for the future. After a well deserved rest tomorrow, we will get back to work preparing for the sidelines of round 2 of the playoffs, and creating an amazing Pep Rally week for our school.”

“We’re gonna take the judge scores and work on improving our performance next time in order to place. Im very optimistic this will be a learning experience for us.”
