It was the big day of girls swimming as they headed into MIT for the Division 2 State Meet. The girls were looking to complete the championship trifecta with both a conference and sectional title already under their belts. Could they close it out, lets find out!

Raider Recap 11-16-19 (Plus Trivia Answer)

Both cross country teams closed out their 2019 seasons today as they competed in the All State Meet in Gardner. Speaking off cross country and before we get to the recap it’s time to answer yesterday’s trivia question. Boys cross country finished in 5th in last year’s State Meet. Now onto the recap!

Babson And Wellesley College Field Hockey Reviews

On this hump day we take a look at the seasons for both the Wellesley and Babson College field hockey teams. Babson currently stands at 18-4 and after defeating Springfield in the NEWMAC semifinals, fell to MIT in the finals. The team did however earn an at large berth into the NCAA’s and will host Saint Joseph’s (ME) this afternoon in the first round.

Wellesley meanwhile ended their season with a 10-9 overall record. The team did earn a NEWMAC tournament berth and fell to Springfield in the quarterfinals. Tomorrow we will wrap up the fall reviews by taking a look at both school’s cross country teams!

Babson and Wellesley College Women’s Volleyball Reviews

Continuing our look at the Babson and Wellesley fall sports we take a look at both program’s women’s volleyball teams who are both still in action at the time of this post. Babson currently stands at 32-1 and is coming off of a NEWMAC tournament title after defeating Coast Guard and Emerson. The Beavers will begin NCAA tournament play Friday afternoon as they take on UMass-Boston at Tufts.

Wellesley meanwhile is currently 22-5 and defeated WPI in the NEWMAC quarterfinals before falling to Emerson in the semis. The team did however earn an at large berth into the NCAA’s and will face Brockport at Clarkson in the first round on Friday. Stay tuned tomorrow as we will look at both program’s field hockey teams!

Babson and Wellesley College Soccer Reviews

As I said i’m unveiling some special content this week, taking a look at how Babson and Wellesley College fall teams fared/are faring. Today we begin with the soccer programs at both schools. Babson men’s soccer is currently 14-5-2 and is coming off of a NEWMAC tournament title after beating Wheaton and WPI. The team earned a automatic berth into the NCAA tournament and will travel to Suny Oneonta for the first round on Saturday.

The Babson women’s soccer team finished their season 9-9-2 and defeated Coast Guard in the NEWMAC quarterfinals before falling to WPI in the semifinals. The Wellesley College women’s soccer team finished their season 4-12-1. Stay tuned tomorrow as we’ll take a look at the two women’s volleyball program’s!

What’s To Come

With the fall season pretty much wound down and the winter season soon upon us it’s time to look at some of the content coming up the next couple of weeks. This week i’ll be doing some special content as I will look at how both Wellesley College and Babson College fall teams fared/are faring in the 2019 season. The week after I will review all the 2019 WHS fall sports, and the following week I will preview the Thanksgiving game leading up to the game itself, so stay tuned!
