On this last Wednesday of 2016 we saw a slew of Raider action as both basketball teams were in the Rockland tournament while it was rivalry night at Babson as boys hockey took on Needham. How did it all turn out, let’s find out!

Hope everyone had a good holiday weekend, and now that Monday has sprung it is time for another edition of Monday Poll. First off the results from last week were that 2 votes were cast, both for girls basketball as the team people thought would have a better regular season this winter season. Today’s question is also winter sports themed, the question is… what winter sport do you prefer watching/playing, basketball, hockey or other? So yesterday I asked the question of what team the Raider girls basketball team beat last year to win the Rockland Holiday Tournament. The answer is… Rockland, yes the hosts who the Raiders beat 49-39 to win the tournament title a year ago. The Raiders will look to repeat as champs as they travel to that same tournament this coming week. No one guessed the correct answer this week so no prize, but we’ll try again next week.
It is the holiday season, and in the spirit of the holidays I have restocked my Raider Friday Trivia prize arsenal so one lucky reader will receive a Dunkin Donuts gift card! Today’s question is…What team did the girls basketball team beat last year to win the Rockland Holiday Tournament? Answer will be posted tomorrow!
On the last day of games prior to both Christmas and Hanukkah the Raider boys basketball team traveled to Weston, both indoor track teams once again traveled into the Reggie Lewis Center to take on Walpole and boys swimming hosted Reading. Would these Raider teams head into the holidays on a positive note, let’s find out!

It was an exciting night of hoops tonight at the Wellesley High gym as both the boys and girls basketball teams were in action in a home doubleheader against Walpole. Both teams were looking for their second straight win while the girls were looking to remain undefeated to start the season. Would both tame the Rebels, let’s find out!
